Winter Formal - 2011

Here we are! Our last Firestone High School Winter Formal. It's hard to believe that we have one more dance left. Sigh! Where does the time go??? Molly (and Stephen) you look wonderful. I love you!!

Choices, Choices

Our Molly is one lucky girl! Reason #1 - She applied to three (great) colleges: Alma College (Michigan), Slippery Rock (Pennsylvania), and Otterbein (Ohio). She was accepted into all three with an academic scholarship. Reason #2 - Two of the three would like her to play soccer. Reason #3 - She auditioned for all of the dance departments and made it into all three!! There is talent money scholarship as well for two of the three (maybe all of them....we're still waiting to hear back from one). I am very happy and pleased for her. I think she is surprised, happy and a little shocked that it all went so well. Now comes the hard part--deciding where to go. In a stroke of sheer unbelievability...her best friend Alana decided to go to Otterbein. Alana and Molly have been preschool friends, soccer buddies and classmates their whole lives. Molly went and looked at Otterbein first and loved the dance department. Then, Alana looked at the nursing program. Alana will also be on the soccer team and also be the kicker for the football team. It is amazing to me that with all the options these two have in regards to higher ed placement that they might end up at the same college. So...now we wait....Molly is a little nervous, but like I told her, with the choices she has, she can't make a bad decision. Stay posted to see what happens next!
